Waiting For You

Over the last year I have been working on various woodblock portrait prints, specifically, I've been trying to convey different emotions. My second goal is to reduce the image down to a minimal high contrast image. I am trying to explore the minimum image details needed that still convey emotion. In this image, I started with the second portrait study wood block and made some minor adjustments in the face and hair. This is the second portrait study as I develop the technique.
